Areas of Expertise
Vibration analysis
At Primac, our depth of knowledge and years of experience combined with advanced test equipment allow us to take on any vibration related machinery issues you may be encountering. This can range from basic machine condition assessments to advanced multi-channel rotordynamic evaluations. Advanced analysis tools and techniques include motion amplification resonance/ natural frequency testing, modal/operating deflection shape (ODS) analysis and torsional testing and analysis.
Reporting
The information and advice we provide is our product. We pride ourselves in our ability to condense the vast amount of data gathered at each tested machine and translate the graphic and numerical information into plain-English terms, thus communicating our findings in a concise, effective manner.
Hardware, Software, and Systems
Primac carries a full line of vibration analysis hardware and software. SDT ultrasound detectors sense high-frequency signals, converting them into audible sounds to give you the ability to predict failures, control energy costs and improve product quality. CTC brand sensors, cables and accessories increase the possibilities and come with their industry-leading unconditional lifetime warranty. Need a custom designed vibration and condition monitoring system? Primac can help with that as well, offering design, installation and commissioning of condition monitoring systems utilizing the latest in sensor technologies. Systems can include vibration, temperature and process variable monitoring, even on-line oil analysis, and we can also assist in integrating these systems to existing data historians, process controllers (DCS, PLC) and HMI’s. Primac has experience with systems rated for hazardous areas (i.e. Class 1, Div 2), API 670 compliant vibration protection systems and has even developed a mobile, solar powered monitoring system using wireless Ethernet radios capable of reaching over 10 km.
Training
Our experienced trainers are available to help you with whatever training needs you may have. From CMVA Certification courses in vibration analysis, to custom courses on balancing, vibration diagnostics, hardware and software use or advanced testing techniques. We are also available as on-site mentors, assisting with the development of new programs, the revitalization of existing programs or for on the job training as an expert resource, helping you learn while solving your machinery problems.
